The new building has potential to cater for end-of-trip travel needs for over 800 people across a range of transport modes. In addition to 240 spaces for people to park bicycles, it has space for people to park 550 cars (including 15 mobility parking spaces), and 40 motorbikes. The building will include electric charge points for cars and bikes.

The building stands seven levels above ground, with two more levels below ground. There is 1000T on structural steel involved in this project which Draft It has provided drawings for.

The parking building is thought to be the first of its kind in New Zealand to include a dedicated bike area making biking easier for city commuters.

The project is estimated to cost $28 million and is due for completion early 2020.
